Tacos from Taco Bar
They were mine: Tacos de Pastor - grilled pork marinated with pineapple, Tacos de Suadero - grilled & tender rib meat Mexican style, and Tacos de Bistec - grilled steak. J picked Tacos de Chorizo - Mexican sausage, Tacos de Lengua - beef tongue, and Tacos de Pastor, I think. We were in Gaithersburg to shop at a Lindt chocolate store and dropped by this taco place that has been very popular on Yelp. 4.5 stars based on about 630 reviews! It must be something. For this first time, we both tried three various tacos. I also asked J to get a cup of guacamole. We took them back home. Tacos were still warm. Tacos doesn't come with any condiments. Just meats and tortillas. The taco bar has a "salsa bar" where you pack salsa, lime, cilantro, hot sauce,... whatever you like in small plastic cups. So, you can dress your taco in your favorite way. Ready to eat. The taste was, in short, very good! My three tacos were very flavorful. Not greasy or dry, too. The portion was generous! Plenty of meat for each taco. Guacamole was fresh but a little too salty for me. Many people on Yelp praised Taco Bar's guacamole, but nobody said it was salty. Only me?! Anyway, I thought overall Taco Bar was better than R&R Taqueria in Elkridge, another popular Taco joint hidden behind a gasoline stand. J enjoyed his tacos very much too. We will certainly go back to Taco Bar when we are around the area.
