Baked Cheesecake with Sweet British Cherry Compote

During this summer I became a big fan of British cherries that were so sweet and flavorful. I bought a lot of British cherries recently. We ate some as fresh and I made compote with the rest. I served some of the compote with my home-baked simple cheese cake and froze the rest to enjoy the taste of summer later.
