Homemade Cream Scones


I have made cream scones a long time ago. They didn't rise at all but were tasty. This time I adopted a different recipe that doesn't use butter but only heavy cream in terms of fat. Well, cream scones are supposed to be made with cream instead of butter, so this new recipe sounded more authentic. In short, the result was wonderful. They were very tender and delicious, and they did rise! There was a new problem, though. Some rose so high and collapsed.

Too much baking powder, perhaps? Height control on scones seems like my issue as always.
