Union Market

We made our first visit to Union Market in DC!

It was fun to meet new venders and try their food! First we tried grilled cheese by a cheese store, Righteous Cheese. There were two kinds of cheese options. We chose Manchego. Made by order. Hot crispy outside; modest cheese inside. Yum.
What's next? Takorean - Korean BBQ Tacos. It seemed to be one of the most popular vendors since I see people making a line in front of it constantly. J picked three kinds of tacos: pork, tofu, and chicken (I think) and shared them together. These tacos were really good! Meat/tofu seasoned with sweet soy sauce, sesame oil and spices was very tasty. I liked the spiced kale topping. with spices Definitely we will pick up some more next time.
Desserts? Yes! Trickling Springs Creamery was on my must-go-to list. How can I ignore premium creamy ice cream made with fresh milk? We both got a small cup each. I had two flavors: lemon and strawberry. J's was blueberry. Creamy and rich but not heavy. It was lovely ice cream!
We were satisfied at this point. We picked up some food items and headed back home. It's a little far to drive down to DC, but we found a couple of foods that we liked and will be a reason to come back in the future.
