Fire-baked Yam, again
This was fire-baked yam, again!
I think the timing of taking yams out from the fire was perfect this time. After about 30 minutes, we checked doneness by poking yams with a toothpick. At that time there was still resistance. After about 15 minutes, we tested them again. No resistance! Every yam was tender and its skin didn't burn too much. J picked four yams that were all in similar size and shape, which I think helped to cook evenly.
With butter and honey, our yams were so yummy! Although I can't wait for breezing a warm fresh spring air, I hope to make another cold weekend to enjoy fire-baked yam at least one more time!
