Wilkin & Sons Black Currant Jelly

This was Wilkin and Sons Black Currant Jelly.

It was a part of my Christmas gifts from Santa J, along with Tiptree Little Scarlet Conserve and Christmas Preserve. I had never had black currant jelly before, so I was very curious! I spread some on nicely toasted homemade bread.

It was sweet and mellow. I liked it! Somehow it reminded me of grape jelly. What did I do next? I made a peanut butter & black currant jelly sandwich. A lovely convergence of a British flavor and an American staple happened!
