Italian Bread with Our New Bread Machine
This was simple Italian bread baked with our new bread machine!
It was my birthday gift from J. I didn't know I was going to get one, so I was happily surprised! The recipe of this Italian bread was from the bread machine's sample recipes. We picked it as our first bread because the recipe was similar to a French bread recipe that we liked with our old bread machine. We were going to compare the result from the new machine with one from the old machine. Talking about the new machine, it has dual mixing blades, a better handle design, and a wide clear window that we were able to watch how the bread was doing anytime. The new machine's kneading phase was amazingly quiet! It was a quite upgrade from our more than 10 year old machine. After about 3.5 hours, the first bread was handsomely risen and baked!
The crust was toothsome, the crumb was silky soft and moist. We were very happy with the output.
What did we do with the wonderful loaf? Of course, J made his special smoked fish sandwiches. Tasty as always!
What shall we make with the new machine next?
