Whole Wheat English Muffins

These were whole wheat English muffins.

I had never thought about homemade English muffins, but actually it was easy to make and tasted very good! Interestingly, unlike usual bread, English muffins were cooked on a griddle. So, no oven required. Cooking muffins itself was simple. Just cook 7 minutes on each side, but repeating it for 5 batches took over 1 hour to finish...

However, when I bit half a piece of nicely torn-apart warm muffin with buttery spread, I totally forget about the cooking time. J enjoyed the clean flavor of the homemade muffins with simple fresh ingredients. It would be so hard to go back to store-bought English muffins.
