Breakfast at Busboys and Poets
We had a breakfast at Busboys and Poets in Hyattsville, MD.
It was our first visit. Somehow I expected a small cozy cafe-like place, but the place was spacious! I ordered french toast. It was very light and tasty. With fresh fruits, it was a lovely breakfast. J picked Mekhleme - (Iraq corned beef hash) ground beef, tomato, onions, potatoes, topped with two poached eggs. We haven't seen the dish before and it was tasty too.
J also ordered grits as a side. That was amazingly creamy! He asked our servant how the chef made it so creamy. She kindly told us their secret: a lot of butter and a lot of half & half. We understood why it was so creamy and dangerously yummy. Overall we enjoyed our first visit there and will have another breakfast there sometime in the future.
