My Smoked Fish Sandwich with Sourdough Pumpernickel Bread

This was my smoked fish sandwich with sourdough pumpernickel bread.

Our new bread machine that was a gift from J has been helping me make a loaf with sourdough unfed starter. I have made our usual French bread recipe with sourdough unfed starter by using the bread machine several times. This time I replaced just about 70g of bread flour with pumpernickel flour to add some rich rye flavor to the simple French bread. With my smoked fish salad, I made sandwiches and served with a cup of the leftover summer corn chowder. A special sandwich and soup combo was ready to satisfy J!
