Slow Cooker Jerk Chicken
These were Jerk Chicken cooked in a slow cooker.
As usual, the recipe came from America's Test Kitchen Slow Cooker Revolution. Two habanero chilis sounded too advanced for me, perhaps not for J. As a privilege of the person who was actually making this dish, I used just a jalapeño instead. I also used only thighs, not mix pieces. Other than those changes, I followed the recipe closely.
The chicken was tasty. Certainly it wasn't spicy, which we knew why. Sorry, J. Apart from the heat level, I didn't know how authentic the dish was because I don't have much experience of Jerk Chicken. Anyway, chicken was nicely fall-off-the-bone tender, the sauce was flavorful, and slow-cooking was so easy. Those were enough reasons for us to like the dish.
