This was stollen from Dresden Stollen Bakers for Christmas 2016!
We were very impressed by their stollen
last year, so we ordered one again. Actually, we did two this year. I pre-ordered them and scheduled the delivery day some days before the Christmas day so that we could welcome the holiday by nibbling stollen. The idea worked very well!
The stollen was ridiculously delicious! I remembered it was great last year. This year's stollen was as great as one of last year, or could be better. I may try stollen by other stores to explore better one, but after our experience with Zingerman's stollen last winter, it could be quite difficult to find one that could beat Dresden Stollen Baker's. At this moment, we are so happy with their product.
Still a two pound stollen is pretty big for two of us. Probably we will freeze the second one and enjoy later. "Christmas in spring" sounds lovely.
