With the rest of homemade buns, we enjoyed homemade
Seitan BBQ sandwiches. For BBQ sauce, I made "
Big Daddys Carolina Style Barbecue Sauce" and tossed pan-sautéed Seitan with it. Both Seitan and the sauce were pretty salty, but when we had them with plain buns and simple vinegar-based slaw, we didn't find saltiness too much. The meat-free sandwiches were as tasty as homemade Big Mac.
