We took a train to Leeds in the early September for shopping, which we have heard was one of main attractions of the urban city. We walked around the centre of city, where several historic shopping arcades with thousands of shops including popular brands and independent boutiques are located. The first thing we bought was delicious chocolate from Charbonnel et Walker. The old British chocolatier holds the Royal Warrant as chocolate manufacturers to Her Majesty the Queen.
We had three or four samples of their fine chocolates and bought several pieces, including their iconic pink champagne truffles, Pink Marc De Champagne Truffles, rose creams and violet creams. Flavors of both the rose and violet creams were so intense and perfume-y! We enjoyed all very much. After the chocolate tasting and shopping, we kept shopping around.
Each arcade with glass high ceiling was beautifully designed, which we enjoyed to see during our shopping.
