When I dropped by at Baltzersen's for a couple of cheese swirls for our weekend snacks, I saw some lemon and poppy seed knots at the counter. Baked goods with poppy seeds are one of my favorites. I couldn't help but try one. Although the bread was a little dry and the sugar topping was a bit too sweet for me, I saw it had potential. I would like to try one again at the store in the early morning when the knots are the freshest.
