Linguine alla Puttanesca plus Aubergine minus Tomato


I was planning to make Linguine alla Puttanesca. We added aubergine in puttanesca sauce last time, which was J's idea and we loved it very much. So, I bought an aubergine. Then, when I started making the sauce, I realized that I forgot to buy a can of diced tomato! I had chopped other ingredients already and had made fresh salad for side at that time. I didn't want to run to the grocery shop or change the dinner plan. The result was Linguine alla Puttanesca plus Aubergine minus Tomato. Actually it wasn't so bad although I still would prefer tomato-based puttanesca. Oh, well.
