Polish Pastries
We bought three kinds of Polish pastries along with Kielbasas at Kielbasa Factory.
One was a poppy seed roll. I generally like baked goods with poppy seeds. This was the first pastry I picked at the deli and it didn't turn me down. Another one was something like peach danish. It was pretty sweet. Perhaps too sweet for J.
The last but not least was a doughnut filled with plum jam. I believe it's called pączek. It was fine but it could be much better when it was just fried and grazed freshly!
I also wished it had more filling! I liked the filling very much, but too little for the whole doughnut!
Traditionally, the plum filling is scented with rose water. I wasn't sure whether this filling had a hint of rose. More filling, please!
