D'arbo's Wild Lingonberry Sauce
This was D'arbo's Wild Lingonberry sauce.
I have seen the recipe call for lingonberry jam sometimes but hadn't had a chance to know what it was and tasted like. Then I happened to find this lingonberry sauce. It must be the chance.
We tried the sauce on homemade white bread. It was a little bit sour but mild and earthy sweet. We liked it. One of recipes I saw was Lingonberry jam on Swedish meatballs. As the Scandinavian staple, the sweet red berries seem to be loved on sweet and savory dishes in the region. J could easily imagine turkey with Lingonberry jam for usual cranberry relish. Actually we could try that way if we would like since we have smoked turkey in the freezer.
