Dulce de Leche Brownies

These were Dulce de Leche Brownies.

I followed a recipe on David Lebovizt's great blog with just a few changes: used brown sugar and halved the amount of sugar, and used less Dulce de Leche. Actually I was modestly adding dulce de leche into the batter and couldn't use all dulce de leche. I should have because I couldn't find a gooey pocket of dulce de leche in the brownies.

But the taste was lovely. Next time I will try to be generous to make gooey caramel pockets.
