Sourdough French Toast
It was my own breakfast. There was some leftover homemade sourdough simple French loaf, so I thought making French toast with them would be a wonderful idea. I haven't made French toast for very long time. Even I don't remember when the last time was and how I made it. I found a recipe from Cook's Illustrated and adapted it. In short, the result wasn't as wonderful as I expected. The sourdough bread cooked with sweet custard and served with sweet maple syrup tasted strange. Somehow the sweet and sour combination didn't work well, at least for me. At least I could say J didn't miss anything.
