Marzipan & Sponge Pigs from Bettys

I was almost laughing out when I saw lines of pink piggies in the showcase of Bettys in Harrogate. They were made from Genoese sponge with vanilla buttercream and covered with marzipan, just like the adorable cauliflower cakes and the halloween's pumpkin cakes that we had before. I adopted a piggy, looking forward to seeing J's reaction when he sees the perkey pink face.

My piggy looked a big confused. Maybe it was because he was rolling in a paper bag on my way home. Nevertheless, J liked my piggy very much! The humorous piggy became "our" piggy to share.
