Red Kidney Beans & Rice


This was our latest beans and rice. At the beginning of the lockdown, cans of beans were still relatively more available that rice and pasta. Among them, butter beans quickly disappeared. I saw some kidney beans and several black beans left at the shelf. In the US, kidney and black beans probably are more popular, I guess. I didn't check but could imagine that Heinz baked beans, UK's cupboard staple, have gone at that time. Anyway, I secured a couple of cans of red kidney beans so that I could make beans and rice. Here you go!
