Cherimoya

This was Cherimoya.

J found it at Wegmans. We didn't know anything about the fruit. Fun to try something new. I checked online when to eat and how to eat. We waited to let it ripen for a few days. And chilled and cut.

Many seeds!! The flesh wasn't soft enough to spoon. Was it the right timing to eat? A website said "fruits taste like a blend of pineapple, mango and strawberry flavors." It is also said that the fruit's nickname is "tree of ice cream" or "ice cream fruit." It wasn't sour but not sweet like ice cream. For me it tasted like pear, persimmon, lime. It was interesting.
