This was Jiichiro's Baumkuchen.
It was one of the gifts that my parents in Japan sent us for our birthdays. I have known this brand of Baumkuchen, which has been very popular in Japan, but never had a chance to taste it. My parents made my dream come true!! They sent us
Juchheim's Baumkuchen last year. They really know I am a Baumkuchen lover.
My first impression of this cake was moist! I see why the company proudly says "you can enjoy this cake without drink." It was rich but delicate, melting-in-mouth. Heavenly... The cake has super thin 24 layers. Each layer was baked very gently to keep it "rare" to be super tender and moist. "The highest quality sweet made by craftsmanship," indeed. Bravo!!
