With not only
the wonderful Valentine Raspberry Chocolate Cake, J also surprised me by presenting this super cute tart with a lovely hart-shaped window on the Valentine's Day! How sweet and generous! We haven't have L.A. Burdick's non-chocolate baked goods before. I was so excited to taste it even after a big bowl of
the fisherman stew.
It was DELIGHTFUL. The tart crust was pleasantly delicate, not sandy or crumbly. It had a lovely fresh buttery flavor and very subtle but warm spices too. Raspberry jam was right amount, consistency, sweetness and tartness and perfect balanced with the crust. I was very very very happy with the double sweets from my favorite chocolatier. Thank you so much J for making this Valentine's day so memorable!
