Veggie Dogs, again

This was veggie dogs, again!

Like the last time, we bought a pack of Field Roast's vegetarian franks. They were frozen, so I defrosted them in the refrigerator overnight and boiled them for 10 minutes just before serving. For breads, I baked our favorite King Arthur's burger buns recipe. I have made these buns many times and been happy with the results each time.

I divided the dough into 12 and shaped in hot dog buns. After baked, they puffed up and turned out slightly bigger than commercial hot dog buns. People say, at least in Japan, Bigger is better than smaller. This was such case. Our veggie franks were nicely snuggled in the buns along with toppings like vegetarian chili, relish, onion, and mustard.
A lovely meaty but meat-free dinner!
