Sansai Tororo Soba - Japan 2017
Either Sansai (literally meaning "mountain vegetables," including fern shoots) or Tororo (grated Japanese mountain yam) is not common in the US, which I am trying to eat while I am in Japan. Once I saw Sansai Tororo Soba on the menu, I didn't need to read the menu anymore. I knew what I was going to order. The dish was excellent. I was as happy as a clam.
