Manna's Papper & Salt Bread

Recently we stopped by at Manna Bakery for some bread and pastries. There was a bread called "pepper and salt," which was new for us. I believe that J can't ignore the term "pepper." He bought one, of course.

The bread was huge like a pillow! The crust was dark and covered with pepper and a kind of savory oil. The inside was surprisingly fine-texture white bread. I was a bit worried that the bread could be too salty, too spicy or both for me. However, it wasn't either.

The bread made great sandwiches. It froze well, too. It was a nice choice, J!
