Baltzersen's Tarts
It was early June when Baltzersen's has introduced their new items: a core range of four tarts. A few days later since the introduction, I bought one each of them to share with J. They were lemon meringue, raspberry frangipane, chocolate and crème brûlée.
Well, they were nice. My favorite was crème brûlée that was lightly flavored with cardamons. However, I would prefer similar tarts from Le Gourmet or Bettys to them. Perhaps Baltzersen's crust part was a bit dough-y and/or less butter-y, and fillings were a bit heavy. The cafe said that they were going to add some limited edition flavors that would change on a monthly basis. Someday I might find a limited flavor that I fall in love with.
