Hiyashi Chuka (Cold Ramen) in England
We had some relatively hot days a couple of weeks ago. During that time, I tried to avoid using definitely the oven and if possible stovetop, too. One of meals I made was Hiyashi-Chuka. Although I had to cook chicken and eggs and boil noodles, those processes didn't take much time. Served cold, the dish was wonderful in the hot evening without an air conditioner. Well, almost. I miscalculated the ratio of chicken to salt water to boil chicken. The result was cooked chicken that was too salty to eat... at least for me. Surprisingly J didn't think the chicken was salty. Oh well, I am glad that he enjoyed the dish and chicken.
