Hiayashi Rice
This was Harashi rice.
I usually make Hayashi rice (or noodle) from scratch. But I used a commercial Japanese Hayashi-rice roux this time. The main ingredient was mushroom as usual, not meat which is traditionally found in Hayashi-rice. With both the roux and some low-sodium beef stock, this Hayashi was very rich and tasty!
