Lyon, France 1 - Arrival

I am recollecting memories of our recent trip to Lyon and Dijon, France. It was afternoon when we arrived at Lyon. The lunch time for almost all of the restaurants there ends by 2pm and they reopen for dinner at 7:30pm. We were too late for lunch and didn't want to stay up for dinner. We were walking in Vieux Lyon (Old Town of Lyon) and found a crêpe restaurant that was still open around 3pm. We didn't know how good or bad the place have been reviewed, but we simply needed a place to sit down and eat something. I had a savory crêpe ham, potato and Raclette cheese. J had one with curry-flavored fillings.

Later we learned the restaurant haven't received good reviews although we both thought their food wasn't so bad actually. Or we were simply so hungry? Anyway the place made our tummy filled nicely. After a couple of minutes walk from there, we saw an ice cream shop, Terre Adelice. I immediately remembered that it was a very famous ice cream shop that some called the best in Lyon. Although it was a bit chilly late afternoon, how could we pass by without a scoop?

Choosing one flavor was truly tough. There were dozens of flavors! Since I love chestnuts, J kindly picked sorbet châtaigne bio, organic chestnut sorbet for us to share. It was very tasty.

We were off to a good start!
