Barcelona, Spain 2 - La Pastisseria Barcelona

We stopped by at La Pastisseria Barcelona for dessert and coffee. The pastry shop's owner and chef, Josep María Rodriguez Guerola is known as one of Barcelona's best pastry chefs. Fresh cakes with vivid colors were beautifully displayed in the showcase. It was very hard to choose just one!

I picked la cierra, "cherry" in Catalan because it was listed first in the pastry list on the shop's website. It must be one of his signature cakes. The cake was made with cherry mousse, yogurt cream, almond biscuit and milk chocolate. Very delicate and tasty. J did a honeycomb. It was lovely too!

There was a casual cafe space where we had the cakes and espresso. The coffee was probably made with Nespresso machine, which we didn't mind. The shop also offered baked pastries. I wish I could try some more!

To be continued...
