Strawberry Cream Cheese Rolls
These were Strawberry Cream Cheese Rolls.
When I baked Savory Spinach Buns, I wanted to have some sweets too. So I halved dough and used one for Spinach Buns and the other for these rolls.
Shape the dough into a large rectangle; spread cream cheese mixture - half a box (about 4 oz) of 1/3 less calorie cream cheese, a few spoons of Splenda, a little squeeze of lemon juice, and a little splash of Grand Marnier; spread my new strawberry jam from Austria over the cream cheese layer; and roll and cut it into 8.
They tasted very good! J loved them!! On the other hand, although the paper cups kept the rolls in good shape, they made the rolls' bottoms very sticky because some fillings melted and gathered there. Rolls looked cute, but shaping like buns, which all fillings are inside, might be better in that case...we'll see.
