Tahini Almond Cookies
These were Tahini Almond Cookies.
The recipe for these cookies was posted on David Lebovitz's blog, one of my favorite food blogs. These were Israeli treats - soft, crumbly, and very tasty with tahini and almond. I reduced the amount of sugar and butter, but they were still nicely sweet and lovely texture. J really loved these cookies.
Somehow they reminded me of Chinsuko cookies, a traditional sweets in Okinawa, Japan. Maybe because I used natural cane sugar from Okinawa?
