Creamy Smoked Salmon with Foglie

Pairing cheerful tri-color leaf-shaped pasta, or Foglie, made in Italy with homemade creamy smoked salmon sauce was J's idea. How charming! In fact, he found and bought the adorable pasta when we were browsing around a Williams Sonoma store recently. He has very good taste.
The dish was delightful. I made up the smoked salmon sauce with ingredients that I had - smoked salmon, shallot, garlic, vermouth, lemon juice, lemon zest, fresh tarragon, and cream. Simple, easy, tasty and super cute.
