Cheesy Buns with Fresh Chive

These were cheesy buns with chive.

I thought J would love these soft bread buns with cheese in the crumb and on the top. I adapted a recipe from Japanese cooking recipe site Cookpad with a few changes. For cheese, I used Mexican mix cheese that I had in hand. Fresh chive was from our garden. I mixed a dash of dried toasted onion powder and black pepper into the dough along with cheese and chive too.
They were lovely breakfast bread. Of course, J loved them!
