Popover
This was our first homemade popover.
J gave me King Arther Flour's popover mix and a special pan. It was a total surprise because I never discussed popover with J before. I know popover and have seen recipes, but hadn't had a chance to make one. The chance suddenly came to me! Thank you J!
Ok, the procedure was simple. Combine the mix, egg, water and a little bit of melted butter.
Set for 30 minutes.
Pour the mixture by about half of each mold. Bake in the oven. And a magic happened.
Everybody popped!
Nicely popped!
Successfully popped!
They were so light with a hollow inside, just like a little cute balloon! I put whipped cream and new jam on still-warm popovers. So delicious!
By the way the new jam was a Christmas gift from Santa J - Wilkin & Sons' Rhubarb with Ginger. I love rhubarb as well as ginger, but never thought about combining two. It must be great. Yes, it tasted fantastic.
Our first popover experiment was fun, fun, fun! We still have a couple of boxes of the mix. I can't wait to watch popping my cute popovers in the oven.
