Shepherd's Pie with Branston Pickle Relish

This was Shepherd's Pie with Branston Pickle Relish.

I make Shepherd's Pie every once in a while, often following the recipe from Gordon Ramsay's cooking book with some my own changes like adding mushrooms and/or peas and skipping Branston Pickle. Apparently a little bit of Branston Pickle is the point of the recipe, but I had never used it because I had never seen it at a grocery store around here until I happened to see a jar called Branston Pickle Relish at Wegmans' international section. My question was whether Branston Pickle and Branston Pickle Rellish is the same, but this "relish" version was the closest thing that I could get.
It tasted like sweet Worcestershire sauce. I added about two tablespoons instead of two and a half that Ramsay called for, hoping the dish won't get too sweet.
The pie was flavorful and sweeter than usual, I assume because of the sweet pickle. I didn't mind it but J told me to add just 1 tablespoon next time. Then, next day when we had the leftover of the pie, he thought the taste got better and didn't think the pie was too sweet. The flavor got mellow nicely. Maybe I will add one and a half tablespoon next time.
