Teriyaki Chicken Breast & Asparagus on Rice

This was Teriyaki chicken breast and asparagus on rice.

My original plan was to make pan-fried chicken breast with some kind of sauce made with shallot, white wine and mustard and serve it with sautéed or steamed asparagus and lama beans as sides. However, I got busy and needed to fix a simpler and easier dinner. So this Teriyaki chicken breast and asparagus was Plan B. Chicken and asparagus was cooked in the same pan at the same time along with sliced shallots. So only one pan needed to be washed. Rice was done in the rice cooker. Wash rice and push a start button. Easy. The bowl in the rice cooker was easy to clean up, too. The dish was not fancy but tasted fine, well, would taste much better than many take-out fatty salty foods, I believe!
