More Spanish Christmas Cookies

These were more Spanish Christmas cookies!

We enjoyed our first Polvorones so much. When I found "Surtido of Holiday Cookies by Aromas de Medina, or an assorted cookie box on sale, I didn't hesitate from clicking "buy."

In addition to Polvorones, there were three more different cookies:

-  Mantecado Almendra: Christmas shortbreads combine cinnamon, flour, sugar and extra virgin olive oil

- Alfajor Navideño: Christmas cookies combine honey, almond, hazelnuts and spices, finished with powdered sugar to create subtle hints reminiscent of a cinnamon bun or hot apple cider

- Roscos de Vino: ring-shaped cookies, resembling mini-donuts, baked from a generations-old, family recipe, combine just the right amount of sweetness with a touch of muscatel wine
Each of the four kinds of cookie has a different shape, so they were easy to be identified. (the picture above doesn't show a mini-donut.) Everyone had slightly different texture and taste, but all were somehow similar to each other. After all, I liked all; nothing mattered.
