It was a quite long time ago when I introduced
Moroccan lentil and chickpea soup to J. I remember that he liked the soup and I thought it would be nice to revisit the Cook's Illustrated's lovely recipe. This time I used cavolo nero for Swiss chard. Actually I don't remember what kind of greens I used last time. Maybe kale? Anyway, I must have added cavolo nero more than the volume that the recipe called for. The soup looked very green. Surprisingly J didn't make any comment about the generous greens. The soup was hearty and tasty anyway. I will definitely make the soup again! Perhaps with slightly less green next time.
