Dried Fig and Marmalade Pound Cake

Recently I baked dried fig and marmalade round pound cake by adapting a recipe from a new baking book that I bought in Japan. The figs were cooked in red wine and placed in the cake. For marmalade, I used French orange jam, which I found in the refrigerator. Some jam was mixed in the batter and the rest was dropped on the top. 




The result was delightful. The combination of figs and orange went beautifully in the classic pound cake. J approved it! There are more recipes in the book I would like to try. What will the next be?
