Kake Soba - Simple Buckwheat Noodle Soup
This was simple buckwheat noodle soup, or Kake Soba.
This buckwheat noodle was usually mix of buckwheat flour and wheat flour but this was made with 100 % buckwheat flour, which gives the noodle strong earthy flavors and a little rough (not smooth chewy) texture. Since I missed Toshikoshi Soba that is traditionally eaten on New Year's Eve day, I am very glad finally I was able to gain a fortune and healthy life for 2014 by eating this Soba! Of course, J too!
