Il Mongetto's Sugo di Pomodoro

This was thin spaghetti with tomato sauce - Il Mongetto's Sugo di Pomodoro.

The Italian tomato sauce was Zingerman's favorite bottled pasta sauce, where I bought a jar from. It was a very small jar (9.8 oz) for us who are used to 32 oz big jar such as our favorite Rao's. So I picked thin spaghetti to thoroughly coat with the limited sauce. Actually the jar was able to cover half a pound of pasta for two of us nicely.
The sauce was delightful! It was just a kind of tomato sauce made with vine ripened tomatoes, carrot, celery, onion, herbs and Umbrian extra-virgin olive oil. I don't know the Mongetto's owner, Santopietro family's magic, but it was surprisingly mellow and flavorful. We can be a repeater of the sauce. I wish the small jar is not so expensive!
