Helo Wales! 7: Snowdonia National Park - Beddgelert

It was very nice to stay two nights in Beddgalert, a pretty little village in Snowdonia. The village is situated in a valley with a junction of two rivers. There were some pubs/restaurants, some hotels/B&Bs and a few of stores, including a Post Office that also plays a role of a small grocery store. The village was quite small but I saw a pretty good number of visitors there during daytime.

We took a walk along the river before breakfast. A wooden bench in front of a hand carved wooden craft shop that we just passed by was so adorable!

After a short walk from the village, there was Gelert's Grave. There is a legend of Gelert - "the faithful hound of the medieval Welsh Prince Llewelyn the Great, who had a palace at Beddgelert." It's another tragic story. There was also a statue of Gelert the Hound in ruined house near the grave.

It was time to go back to B&B for breakfast. The mountain view around the village was peaceful.

Breakfast started at 8:15am. We luckily secured the only table at the bay window with a lovely outside view. We both had full Walsh. It was well-prepared. J loved their sausage!
