Vivo Italian Kitchen & Wine Bar

We tried a new Italian restaurant in Hanover, Vivo Italian Kitchen & Wine Bar.

We both ordered Mafaldine Bolognese - ribbon-shaped pasta with Bolognese sauce made with sweet sausage and braised short rib, topped with warm ricotta cheese. The restaurant seems to make pasta by themselves. Funny, the ribbon shape was tricky to eat without stopping jumping the sauce everywhere. The sauce wasn't heavy although when we finished the dish we were so full and satisfied!
Before the pasta, we shared Romaine hearts & baby kale Caesar salad. Intense anchovy, creamy dressing, and crispy croutons. I think the half size was right. It was pretty good too.

It's nice to have an Italian restaurant that serve more than too-long-boiled spaghetti with strangely sweet tomato sauce and fatty meatballs.
