Blue & Black Berries Crumb Cake

This was blue and black berries crumb cake.

I have a weakness for a sweet crumb topping. This cake was a good example - crumb, summer berries, and light buttery cake. I adapted a recipe of blueberry crumb cake on smitten kitchen and adjusted the volume of ingredients to 7 inch cake pan. And I made the sugar ratio small and used coconut sugar for granulated sugar. Also, I mixed blue berries and black berries and used frozen for both that I had in hand.
Coconut sugar tints dough in caramel color and adds a caramel flavor. I don't mind such effects. I have been trying not to use granulated sugar as much as possible. Coconut sugar has been working well in baking.
According to J's request, Served with whipped cream, the cake was a lovely treat!
