Le Raisin Doré au Sauternes by Verdier

This was Le Raisin Doré au Sauternes by Verdier.

The chocolate-covered raisins made in France was a gift that my mother sent us from Japan. We received it in February. According to her, white they are already delicious, but sauterne-soaked raisins in dark chocolate would get more mature and the flavor would get deeper and mellower in a couple of months. So, we patiently waited till now.
The chocolate came with a little cute box.
They were quite sweet. I think sauterne enhanced raisins' sweetness with honey and floral tones. However, since we didn't know how they tasted a couple of months earlier, we couldn't tell the difference. At least we found out the raisins were lovely. We enjoyed popping the little pieces in the mouth, thanking my mother for the thoughtful and interesting treats.
