Puttanesca with Garlic & Basil Linguine

Our favorite homemade puttanesca met a new pasta - Morelli Pasta Factory's Garlic & Basil Linguine. The company's Lemon & Black Pepper linguine didn't taste lemon or black pepper but the texture was very nice. How about the Garlic & Basil linguine? 
The result was the same. Although I detected some kind of grassy smell from the pasta when I was boiling them, I didn't taste garlic or basil. The texture of the pasta was fine. Lessons learned: don't expect flavor from flavored dried pasta; enjoy color and texture.
